"I just wanted to say thank you again for the wonderful safari in Tala Tala! Our safari in the forest was a dream come true. We had amazing success throughout the hunt with a big-bodied bongo, numerous opportunities while calling duiker, and our last day monster sitatunga. Hunting in the climax forest of northern Congo was a miraculous hunting experience while following the Baka through the dense undergrowth. The songs of the blue turaco still ring in my ears when I think about our time in the forest. We even had the opportunity to see gorilla on multiple days throughout the hunt! The camp, nestled on the banks of the Ngoko, was a fantastic retreat after a long day hunting in the forest. The camp staff and Baka trackers were a true joy, always greeting with a smile. In every sense of the word, our safari was proper. I have missed the forest every day since we departed. Thank you my friends! I look forward to hunting with you again soon and the dwarf forest buffalo are already filling my dreams!' All the best, Brian

As someone who’s been to Africa 19 times now, I hold Jean Luc and Christophe in the highest regard. They are true professionals in every regard. Whether it’s the beautiful air conditioned chalets, the impeccable food or the game they chase. Nothing is left to chance. It’s been a real privilege for me to hunt with men of their caliber.

My hunt with Congo Forest Safaris was without doubt, the hardest hunt of my twelve African safaris to date. However, it was the most rewarding hunt for the most elite trophy on the continent – the Western Bongo. I will always consider my Bongo trophy as a badge of honor. The experience was paradoxical in many regards. Considering the remote jungle location where we were to hunt, the trip from the Ouesso Airport was easy. When we arrived at the hunt camp, we were met by the striking beautify of the river view, the comfort of the lodge and cabins, and the kindness and attentiveness of our hosts and staff. If not for the many miles I trekked each day, I was sure to leave camp weighing more than when I arrived with all the fine meals we were served. The jungle is an angry place where everything wants to hurt you, yet when you return to camp each day, the staff is waiting to make your life easy and comfortable. Returning to my cabin was truly a pleasure – the amenities, cleanliness and comfort were top quality. The hunt would not be possible without my experienced PH and the incredible hard-working Baka’s, the local Indigenous people, who not only guide, track and carry your gear and trophy, but share their culture in both song and dance in a memorable performance. A truly lifetime experience of extremes – arduous work in an angry jungle for trophy of a lifetime among warm people, cultural learning, comfortable living in a beautiful setting. I strongly recommend to any serious African hunter. Ricardo Leone, 2024
